Eating ice cream before dinner.
After a long day, I can never seem to motivate myself to cook a real dinner, even though I’m usually starving.
What better way to solve this problem than by having a quick scoop or two (or three…) of some delicious ice cream? The cold, sugary snack keeps me satisfied and energized until I can muster up the motivation to make dinner.
I know it’s not healthy. I know I shouldn’t be eating so much ice cream, especially if it’s before I’ve even had my actual meal for the evening. But, gosh darn it, it’s quick, tasty, and OMG there is CHOCOLATE in here!
I really don’t see what the problem is.

Ice cream is a gift from God. Seriously. During my miserable junior year, almost weekly trips to Coldstone helped keep me alive. I would go on the coldest night in November when most sensible people avoid ice cream, and then enjoy the undivided attention of the staff and a wonderful ice cream creation.
Of course, I remember Fr. Tom’s reaction to my ice cream addiction: “Don’t go getting big on me now.”
