700+

Distance

I lived in a teeny tiny town while growing up.  People don’t often move into my hometown, and–for whatever reason–families hardly ever move away from it.

My biggest move in life up until I was 18 was from my upstairs bedroom to my brother’s old bedroom in the basement.  I was in junior high.

I never experienced the pain of a friend moving away.  And when I left for college, I was too pumped about university life to care too much.

Even though C has been 200 miles away since the get-go, adding 500 more miles and a different time zone suddenly makes everything brick-thrown-to-the-chest painful.

  1. Awwww 😦 Best of luck to you both, lady. I definitely understand the brick-thrown-to-the-chest feeling.
